Pisces Monthly Forecast for December 2019
Divine Mercury, planet of communication, remains in the retro shadow until the 8th in intense Scorpio, your 9th house of the higher mind. If something is going to go wrong with travel arrangements and dealings with foreigners and faraway places, it may yet happen. Long distance travel, international business, or diplomatic endeavours are subject to disruption and revision, as area cultural events and court decisions. Higher education and advanced training, including the study or use of foreign languages is likely to be affected as decisions made weeks ago are going to be reconsidered. Religious or political interests, along with publishing, promotions, and advertising suffer unforeseen disturbances and careless mistakes.
On the 9th, Mercury enters fiery Sagittarius, your 10th house. So your mental energy is likely to attract a public forum in which you can express your ideas or share your knowledge and skills. Circumstances boost your communications with superiors, clients, or a parent, plus the potential for having to comply with regulations. Don't let ego interfere with your acceptance of ideas, methods, or information; progress is possible. Then on the 29th, the Cosmic Messenger enters loyal Capricorn, your 11th house of friends, hopes and wishes, bringing an increase in communications and activities with friends. Prepare for interactions or travel with children, especially other people's children. Fund raising, membership drives, a blog or newsletter are in the frame for the weeks ahead, but more of this next month.
The 12th sees the Full Moon at 19:52 of chatty Gemini, your 4th house of domestic conditions and new beginnings. The Full Moon for December is known as the Yule or Christmas Moon. In the Northern Hemisphere, December is the month when the coldness of winter fastens its hold and nights are at their longest and darkest. The mid-winter Full Moon has a trajectory across the sky because it is opposite a low Sun as the Winter Solstice approaches on the 21st. It is the opposite in the Southern Hemisphere, bringing the longest day. Of course, in the Southern Hemisphere we see the Summer Solstice on the 21st.
Circumstances under this Full Moon are likely to test your self-confidence and willpower. Success may depend on your ability to withstand the demands of others, especially those in positions of authority. You may have to cope with situations that cause you to doubt that you are right or that you will be successful in what you are doing. You can and will be able to accomplish what you set out to do, but not without first overcoming frustration or discouragement. You may be particularly busy at this time living up to promises or commitments that you have made or that others have made for you.
Goddess Venus starts the month in Capricorn, your 11th house of friends, hopes and wishes. Your personal aspirations and happiness occupy your mind, especially what satisfaction you derive (or do not derive, as the case may be) from your role as spouse, child, parent, friend, lover, or associate. Coordinate activities, promote harmony and encourage co-operation. The social aspects of romance may also be on your agenda. Joining organizations and participation in group activities can be very rewarding.
This said, Venus slips behind the scenes into intellectual Aquarius on the 20th, so you may not be at your sociable, spiffy best for Christmas, or indeed until the middle of January. Pooh. You are likely to be full of excuses to pass up invitations to go out. Of course you're too ill, or too overweight to fit into the clothes you wanted to wear; you have too much work to do, or any number of other reasons. Romance may have to be secretive or relegated to the world of fantasy and dreams. You may be more susceptible to false flattery or unworthy attentions. Love relationships from the past, especially those in which you suffered a loss, can intrude in some way. Happily, you can choose to ignore a dose of self-pity by turning your attention to helping others less fortunate than yourself. Thank heavens, it's the Festive Season, the Season of Goodwill!
The 26th sees the New Moon, an annular Solar Eclipse in Capricorn, your 11th house. This will be a memorable New Moon activating a stellium, a kaleidoscope of planets including the Sun, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. With the New Year coming up, you will want to win friends and influence people. It will be time to light up your social life, start a new romance, liven up an existing relationship and be a party animal. Don't be a chump because of Venus! You need emotional support from those that you care about, so join in group celebrations and make sure you wear a party hat! Express what you would like to do in the coming months. Start setting goals for 2020, turn a new leaf and let bygones be bygones. There will nevertheless be a few things to get straight, so get into some serious talks, clearing away differences of opinion.
Although the official Solstice comes on the 21st, the Sun moves into friendly Capricorn on the 22nd, stimulating your 11th house of friends, hopes and wishes. Over the next few weeks, you will turn your attention to friends, acquaintances and activities through groups, going to events and enjoying this time of year. You will be inclined to have a more positive sense of your own uniqueness, associated with something of an inner contentment. It's a good time to enjoy the world and your place in it, so don't hang back. Socialize, your friends will support you. Reflect on and structure your goals for the future.
Warrior Mars remains in intense Scorpio all month, energising your 9th house of the higher mind, travel and cultural pursuits. Your energy and motivation will home in on travel, exciting adventure and experiences, as well as expanding your knowledge through a wide variety of topics. Is there an advanced study you want to chase? Areas of justice, politics, marketing and publishing are all in the frame. Some will want to pursue professional sport overseas, climb the Eiffel Tower or pull off some other stimulating exploit. It doesn't stop there, for there is so much to learn from foreign cultures, their way of life and cuisine. The sciences may grab you, or perhaps understanding various religions, and the metaphysical world. You will broaden your ideals and look for enlightenment to celebrate this special time of the year.
