Go to Top Opportunities for Lions
The dashing Lions start the month with the Sun, your planetary ruler, in business-minded Taurus, your 10th house of career and ambitions. This is the time to move ahead with your career and long-range plans. You'll excel in your social status, impressing your employer and those in authority. You'll stand out in the crowd, thanks to your determination and drive to reach the top of the ladder through your profession, showing your organizational experience and business skills. You may find yourself in the public eye, so protect your reputation. Consider your career path and options. Are your long-range plans in place, and are you happy with your achievements? Opportunities may avail themselves to progress forward, be recognized and rewarded for your work efforts. From the 3rd to the 5th, you'll be spiritually inclined and sensitive to the needs of others. However when it comes to managing money, that's another story, so keep a check on expenditure. From the 5th to the 7th, you'll find travel, pleasure and fun through friends. Try not to overextend yourself, or take on too many tasks. You will increase your own (or a child's) education in some way.

The Full Moon on the 10th comes in steadfast Scorpio, your 4th house of home and family. For May, it is often referred to as the Full Flower Moon in the northern hemisphere, as flowers spring forth in abundance. It is also called Mother's Moon, Milk Moon, and Corn Planting Moon by some Algonquin tribes. This marks a time of increasing fertility with temperatures warm enough for safely bearing young, a near end to late frosts, and plants in bloom. Wesak, also spelt Vesak, is a day celebrated by Buddhists around the world at this time. It marks the Wesak Festival, celebrating the birth, teachings, enlightenment and passing away of the Lord Gautama Buddha. It is considered the most powerful Moon of the year, when great spiritual progress can be made.

It will be an intense Full Moon, making you feel emotionally energized to delve into domestic affairs, property and real estate. Health problems could also affect your work efficiency in some way. You want to work on activities that will show you in a good light, and are likely to be annoyed if anyone objects to what you're doing or points out where you're going wrong. Don't let misunderstandings with family members get the better of you. Balance your self-importance, security needs, career and ambitions with your home life and build on family relationships. Sentimental possessions, family heirlooms, collections, and real estate matters are also in the frame.

On the 20th, the Sun moves into Gemini, your 11th house of friends, hopes and wishes. The next four weeks will see you socialising more, being part of a friendly group, networking and being team orientated. You will work towards your future aspirations, and how this can help with career goals. Co-operate and observe your relationships with others. Singles may meet someone special or enhance current partnerships while having good times.

The 25th sees the New Moon in Gemini, your 11th house. Over the next two weeks, you'll take a new course in expanding your network. You might meet someone who'll become a new friend or associate, or an existing friendship could enter a completely new phase. If you've been meaning to extend your social life by joining a club or society, this is the perfect time to take the plunge. It might work out a lot better than you'd hoped.
Go to Top Mercury Direct
Mercury remains stationary in Aries, your 9th house of higher knowledge, before going direct on the 3rd after some weeks of retrograde motion. This will awaken those dormant ideas and travel plans, seeking higher education, discussion about your beliefs and spurring on your mind for something adventurous to do. It's time for vision and fabulous schemes, Lions. Get out and about, stretch your legs and take in the fresh air to get the best from your mind. Discuss important possibilities with overseas connections and people at a distance. Legal matters, publications and writing are also in the frame. From the 1st to the 13th, it will be back to meeting challenges that have been plaguing you recently. Others may travel at short notice, or present interesting ideas on reform. However take particular care while driving, avoiding speed and impulsiveness about getting to your destination. During the 9th to the 13th, you'll proceed with more caution. Take an interest in children's affairs and responsibilities.

On the 16th, the Cosmic Messenger cruises into Taurus your 10th house, but remains in a shadow phase until the 21st. You'll be back to considering your career prospects, discussions on employment that has been delayed, and revising your long-range goals and plans. You may finally hear about a job application, talking to important people and being in the public arena. Revamp your portfolio, rethink your tactics and be patient.
Go to Top Venus Direct
The Goddess Venus remains in your 9th house after a lengthy retrograde phase. This may well be the time you pull anchors up and go on that postponed holiday, or get inspired to write. Rebuild your relationship with the in-laws, enjoy a love relationship from afar, and work through delays that have occurred in the justice system. From the 18th to the 21st you can look forward to some promising events or fortunate news, travelling purely for fun, and enjoying the company of family and friends. Perhaps the opportunity to undertake that educational or beauty course is finally available. From the 25th to the 27th, there'll be plenty of hoo-hah with work relationships and the boss. Try to reach a compromise if your desire for freedom and recreation interferes with your work.
Go to Top Team Building
Warrior Mars remains in Gemini, your 11th house. Fearless in your attitude, you'll be keen to take control and light the way to increasing your network of friends this month. Although you would prefer to be the leader and work on your own, being in charge may not be the way to go. It's important to work in harmoniously with others as a team player, and avoid ego differences. Less haste and more speed as they say will help you conquer your aspirations. Perhaps there is a sporting facility involved with your group of friends, team-building through your job, or just joining forces in a common interest. From the 10th to the 14th is definitely the time to avoid gambling, quick money schemes, overindulging in alcohol at parties and celebrations. From the 27th to the 31st, it will be hard to get energized, so concentrate and meet your obligations. There could be problems with children, friends, and lovers. Plans are likely to change, making it difficult for you to achieve anything and keep to your itinerary.
Go to Top Nodes Change Signs
This will be a significant phase for Lions because the North Node/ South Node axis, known as the Dragon's Head and Tail, is changing signs. Retrograding into Leo your house of self-image and personality, the True Node completes its karmic journey on May 9th, passing through the critical first degree of Virgo. The Mean Node has already moved into Leo on April 29th, but the power of the moment is undeniable. For more insight on what it means for Lions, please read our April Monthly Report.
