Cancer Monthly Forecast for December 2016
With the festive season in mind, dear Cancer, make this an enjoyable time of the year, although from the 1st to the 2nd, you may feel disappointed over your ideals being quashed, and being unable to live up to your dreams. Finish your tasks between the 8th and the 11th before taking on more than you can handle, which could put a strain on your circulatory system. There's potential for good fortune on the home front, so keep positive. From the 11th to the 13th, you could find yourself changing job roles, or looking for alternatives with health and work. Do something different and exciting.
The 14th sees the Full Moon in Gemini, your 12th house of secrets, sorrows and hidden motivations. The Full Moon for December is known as the Cold Moon, the Yule or Christmas Moon. Snow Moon, Peach Moon or Full Long Nights Moon are alternative names for the Moon this month. In the Northern Hemisphere, December is the month when coldness of winter fastens its hold and nights are at their longest and darkest. The mid-winter Full Moon has a trajectory across the sky because it is opposite a low Sun. Of course it is quite the opposite in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Moon is your life-ruler, so Luna and her phases are particularly significant for you. This Full Moon has the capacity to stir up emotional feelings from the past. It could activate hidden fears, anxieties, concerns and resentments towards others. Sub-conscious destructive thoughts could have you playing mind games, or imagining the worst, which may never eventuate in the real world. Don't let buried feelings get the better of you by closing yourself off from others. Some may be concerned over someone in hospital, a partner or friend. You may need to attend your own health problems. Tune in to your intuitive feelings; perhaps there is a karmic message or a past life connection that is not allowing you to progress. Be confident and try to resolve the hindrances that are holding you back.
On the 21st at the Solstice, the Sun moves out of Sagittarius and into practical Capricorn, your 7th house of significant commitments. During the next four weeks, although work and health issues will remain in place thanks to Saturn, your main attention will be on relationships. These include partnerships, marriage, business alliances, along with long-term commitments and the roles you play within them. Dealings with open enemies are also indicated. Balance your needs with those of your partner and others; this will achieve harmony and peaceful resolutions. From the 22nd to the 31st, you will have greater get up and go! Get set to do physical activity, attend to agreements, legal matters, and politics. It's the right time to connect with people from overseas.
The 29th sees a New Moon in Capricorn, your 7th house. Over the next few weeks you'll find a new direction in established relationships and partnerships. Some Crabs on the other hand may begin a momentous relationship, expressing your emotions more eagerly. It's a good time to get engaged or married. Plenty of discussions are underway but these may not come to fruition until January, due to Mercury going retrograde on the 19th, and people on holiday leave. Agreements, contracts, litigation, settling differences with open opponents and overseas business dealings are all in the frame. This lunation will give you a fresh start by revitalizing a soggy situation and calling a treaty. Your traditional values will be of utmost importance, so do your best to reach an amicable situation.
The Cosmic Messenger turns retrograde in Capricorn on the 19th. Discussions and negotiations will be revamped on relationship concerns, partnerships and other alliances. Commitments, agreements, legal contracts, business partnerships ventures, finances and travel will be highlighted. Original ideas on resolutions will require further input, together with documentation, advice and approvals. Listen carefully to what your love or partner has to say, and even more carefully reading between the lines if he or she is not saying anything. It's the festive season, so professionals are likely to be on leave before you get the go ahead for your plans and for moving forward in 2017. Having said that, from the 28th to the 29th with Mars also driving your ideas and plans, it may be difficult to keep you at home, as you will be enthusiastic about travel, adventure, and advancing your knowledge. Mercury briefly re-enters Sagittarius (your 6th house of work and health) on January 4th, before going direct on January 8th, then back into Capricorn on January 12th. Work towards a friendly outcome by taking firm decisions and finding solutions. From January 28th things should progress allowing you to continue on your pathway.
On the 19th, the Warrior steams into sympathetic Pisces, your 9th house of the higher mind. Up until January 27th, your energy will be awakened for adventure and new experiences that will broaden your outlook on life. Opportunities may exist for travel, enrolling in an advanced study course, university, or gaining knowledge through an interest in intellectual topics. This is a wonderful time to meet people from overseas. You'll appreciate cultural differences and tantalizing food. You might be eager to explore religious beliefs, theology, metaphysics, the sciences and politics, but your views on these subjects could be challenged. With Mercury also turning retrograde on the 19th, be sure to arrange your travel plans to avoid delays.
From the 19th to the 31st it will not be easy to suppress your keenness for action, but pressure from your career area, responsibilities of work, health and family are indicated. You might find yourself looking at a new residence, extending your current home, or making plans to expand your business. Merry Christmas, Crabs!
